The Lagos State Police has commenced investigation into the alleged murder of a Nigerian female artiste Alizee and her four-year-old daughter by her Danish husband, Peter Nielsen.
Alizee and her four-year-old daughter, Petra, were allegedly murdered by her husband, Peter Nielsen, at their home at Ocean Parade, Banana Island, Lagos.
The command’s spokesman, SP. Chike Oti, told newsmen on Friday that Nielsen was currently being detained at the State CID, Panti Lagos, for further investigation.
He said the Commissioner of Police had deployed some crack detectives to the scene, adding that no stone would be left un-turned in the case. He however corrected the notion that the suspect is an Italian. The commissioner revealed that he is a Danish national and the country’s Embassy in Nigeria has been contacted on the proposed investigation of one of her nationals in Nigeria
“The suspect is not an Italian, but from Denmark. He has been arrested and transferred to the State CID, Panti, for thorough investigation by the Homicide Department.
“The command has also written the embassy on the suspect that the police are investigating one of their national.”
Alizee and her daughter were murdered by her husband on Thursday and there were so much uncertainties on what could have led the man to commit the gruesome murder on the woman and her daughter.
Confirming her demise, a member of her management team said
‘it’s really a shocking and sad development. We all woke up to the sad news of her death this morning and to find out that the homicide was committed by her husband makes it all the more sad. The Police has been brought in to the case and we’ll share more details as we get them’.
